Palms

This Sunday, we are going to stand on the road into Jerusalem and watch Jesus come toward us. Not rushing. Not posturing. Just faithful. In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus enters the city knowing the cross is coming, and he keeps going anyway, out of love for the world and for us.

Palms is an invitation. An invitation to lay down our expectations, our fear, and our need for control, and to welcome Jesus as he truly is. Not the Savior we try to make him, but the Savior who gives himself completely. Come and be part of this moment. Come and walk with Jesus as Holy Week begins.
